A Pragmatic “How-to” Manual for Individual Winemakers, Wine Clubs of Any Size, or Small Wineries ... Anyone Interested in Making Great Wine
Start Making Great Wine is a must have manual for the individual winemaker, wine clubs of any size, and small wineries … anyone interested in making great wine now!
Most winemakers do not grow their own grapes but get them from a vineyard, or multiple vineyards. This manual helps guide you through the wine making process starting with grape arrival and ending with the distribution of wine into member’s carboys or barrels in the case of a small winery. The most important points, “what to do” and “when to do it” are the principle features of the book. The “whys” are referenced but the focus is on the end result, making great wine.
While some books can be too simple and others are very technical, requiring a chemist to decipher, Start Making Great Wine is easy to understand and implement.
In addition to the book there are two Software Programs available designed to track your winemaking. The first transfers the data into working calculations. These calculations, in turn, are sent to a detailed work plan. This explains in a step by step procedure what to do, what to add and how much. The second program is for post distribution of the wine to the members allowing the member to enter his day to day operations and observations in one convenient location.
